Our work is to ensure that every child in Illinois—particularly those who are the most over-burdened and under-resourced—have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in school and in life. Since our founding 50 years ago, in 1969, Illinois Action for Children has worked to build systems of early care and education that help strengthen families and communities.
